Matti Kemppainen just got his new design for the Assembly Winter poster up on line. Assembly is the biggest electronic festival in Finland. "I had a lot of fun with this one.
The design and color scheme are simple and bold. I was inspired by the work of Ashley Wood, old monster movie posters (think Godzilla ad King Kong) and Shadow of the Colossus. "

Agent Pekka

Agent Pekka, an illustration agency based in Helsinki and the first organization of its kind in Finland, was established in September 2007. Launched during Helsinki Design Week, the agency currently works both in Finland and abroad, promoting Finnish talent worldwide.
Pekka currently represents 22 illustrators: Lauri Ahonen, Jesse Auersalo, Vincent Bakkum, Emil Bertell, Johannes Ekholm, Ville Granroth, Minni Havas, Inka Jarvinen, Leo Karhunen, Matti Kataja, Maija Louekari, Sac Magique, Joel Melasniemi, Rami Niemi, Sanna Paananen, Pietari Posti, Janine Rewell, Miika Saksi, Ville Savimaa, Helmi Sirola, Jani Tolin and Antti Uotila.
Of Pekka's 20 illustrators, 18 are Finns, and two are Finnish resident expatriates.
Pekka's illustrators have served clients such as Adidas, Amnesty International, Arktip, Burton, EMI Finland, Hartwall, Helsinki Design Week, Kalevala Koru, Levi's, Marimekko, Music Television, Nike, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Nokia, Sony BMG, Volkswagen and Warner Music.
